Nehemias Santiago Montes, of York, tracked 30-year-old Jessica M. Cruz-Rodriguez using an Apple watch he'd hidden in her car, and waited for her in the parking lot of the Wyomissing Walmart store around 4 p.m., according to the York Daily Record and Borough Police Chief John G. Phillips.

Montes noticed an SUV parked next to her car, driven by Alexi Omar Rodriguez Serra, 34, of Allentown, according to the outlet and local authorities.

Montes opened the door and fired multiple shots at the driver's side door. When Serra tried to get away, Montes fired more shots at the SUV, causing him to crash into a tree, the news outlet says. Serra died of his injuries.

When police arrived, Cruz-Rodriguez was on the ground being attended to by witnesses, police said. She was taken to Reading Hospital with head injuries. She was listed in critical condition as of Saturday.

Montes was arrested at the scene, and a warranted search of his vehicle later revealed a firearm, the chief said.

Montes was charged with first and third-degree murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and carrying a firearm without a license.

Anyone with video of the incident is urged to contact the Wyomissing Borough Police Department at 610-375-6102.
